Community Integration Initiative is a project based in Glenwood Springs that covers from Aspen to Parachute, funded by the Colorado Trust’s Supporting Immigrant & Refugee Families Initiative. Its goals include building relationships between immigrants and receiving communities, increasing awareness and appreciation of each other’s cultures, increasing access to information regarding the communities in which they live and work and helping in the development and promotion of leaders in all cultural communities. (It’s best known for a series of Immigrant Stories that has played weekly on KDNK.)
